THE SECHRIST FAMILY REUNION

1998

In 1950, the Sechrist family met for the first reunion ever on Labor Day weekend.  Forty-nine years later, the reunions are still held faithfully on Labor Day weekend.  Throughout the years, the population that attends the reunion has risen and fallen over the years.  Not only does the year 2000 help bring in the new millennium, but it also the fiftieth anniversary of the reunion.  Our goal is to have as many people attending the fiftieth family reunion as they did the first reunion (if not more.)

REUNION UPDATE:

As usual the reunion was a success this year, we had more members in attendance than in the past couple of years.  I would like to thank everyone for coming down to the reunion this year.  I will keep you up to date with new information as it becomes available.  I hope everyone had a safe return home and that you will attend the great fiftieth reunion next year.  I will also have some pictures up and a link to these pictures.

Where is the reunion going to be held?

The reunion, as for the past fifty years, has been held at the recreation center in Stephenville, Texas.  The recreation center has been around in Stephenville for over eighty years.  

When is the reunion going to be held?

The reunion will be held on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend.  The reunion starts at 10:00 in the morning and ends at 3:00 that afternoon.  There will also be food at the reunion.  People will bring casseroles, chicken, barbeque, salads, desserts, and pies.  If you like, you can bring something of your own.  So come to the reunion and meet people and have a nice time.
